There is a lot to read about the battle for Pointe du Hoc.

See the website.

Please listen to the music I composed.

A composition that I wrote more than 10 years ago, right before I left for Normandy. Pointe du Hoc is the beginning of the Battle for Normandy. A few kilometers further east, was the most bloodiest landing ever on the beaches of Omaha Beach. Pointe de Hoc is the place where the 2nd Ranger Battalion were to perform an impossible task: climbing a 30 meter high cliff under enemy fire to secure German cannons. Only there were no guns.
