Alt Name: Ely. Opened: 1943. Status in 1944: RAF. 3 Grp. Bomber Ops. Current use: Agriculture. Remarks: A centre for local industry and distribution firms. The owner of the site is very keen on aviation and maintains a substantial & detailed exhibition of the wartime history of the base including a Hercules engine from a Lanc Mk2. Its sited in the admin block - with free entry during office hours.
