Circumstances of the aircraft loss: force landed near Geldern. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 439. The location for the map is Geldern Germany. Circumstances at the end of this mission for McBride: he evaded and was rescued by a US Army patrol. returned to squadron the same evening.
