On 1943-01-13, Pilot Hugh C Godefroy (Flying Officer, RCAF) with service number J/3701, flew Spitfire IX serial EN130 for this duty: patrol the Dunkirk - Sangatte area while USAAC B-17s bombed nearby. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft: Damaged, landed safe back at base. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 401 RCAF. The location for the map is the Dunkirk - Sangatte area. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Godefroy: he survived. Aircraft hit by 20mm rounds from Luftwaffe Bf-109F.
