The story

On 1944-05-21, Pilot J K Kurowski (Flight Lieutenant, PAF) with servicenumber P.1213 flew a Spitfire IX with serial ML215 for this duty: Rhubarb. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: During the morning the Spitfire was hit by flak and the pilot was killed when the aircraft exploded near Abbeville. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 308. The location for the map is Abbeville, France. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Kurowski: he was killed. He is commemorated at: Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension Somme, France.
