The story

On 1943-06-21, Pilot Harold Garfield Handley (Flying Officer, RCAF) service number J/9856 flew  Spitfire Vb serial AR235 for this duty: Roadstead. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: hit by naval gunfire (flak). This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 118. The location for the map is the North Sea just Texel NL where his body washed up on 16 Aug 43. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Handley: he was killed. He is commemorated at: Texel (Den Burg) Cemetery Netherlands.
