The story

On Friday, 25 June 1943, (a part of) the aircraft of the 103 squadron (RCAF), took off for a mission to Gelsenkirchen in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near Elsham Wolds.
One of the crew members was J8221 Flight Lieutenant A H Langille RCAF. He departed for his mission at 23:19.
He flew with a Avro Lancaster (type I, with serial W4827 and code PM-W). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Saturday, 26 June 1943.
