The story

(Eighth Air Force): The 107th Observation Squadron, 67th Observation Group, moves from Membury to Aldermaston, England with A-20s, L-4s and Spitfires (first mission is 20 Dec 43).

25 November 1942

In the first Bomber Command day operation for 10 days. 6 Wellingtons and 5 Lancasters were sent on cloud-cover raids to Essen and 5 smaller German targets. Most of these aircraft turned back because of insufficient cloud. 1 Wellington bombed ships off the Dutch coast. 1 Lancaster and 1 Wellington lost.

25/26 November 1942

22 Wellingtons and Halifaxes minelaying off St Nazaire and in the Frisians without loss.
