The story
At the date of 24-10-1944, time: 1510, the aircraft type Typhoon has been lost. The location of the plane was found at: Zaltbommel (3 km South East of). The unit of crew and plane is: 263 Sqdn. First flyer rank: F/Lieutenant, name: A.L.S. Hallet. He was captured and POW. The plane belonged to the Allied forces.
This flight was part of a raid with the 193, 197, 257, 263 en 266 Squadron and lead by G/C D.E. Gillam DSO DFC AFC on the HQ of the 5th German Army, target was destroyed and 70 German casualties. Source: SGLO.
