The story
On 1944-06-23, Pilot A R Brown (Flying Officer, RCAF) service number, flew a Typhoon Ib with serial MN663 for this duty: bombing operation. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: hit by flak, abandoned over channel just off the Isle of Wight. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 439. The location for the map is the the Isle of Wight in the English Channel. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Brown: he survived and returned to his unit the same day.
