The story
At 1100hrs on the 11th June D+5 the Regiment made its first move when it left Magny and came in to action between Jerusalem and Conde-Sur-Seulles to the south west of Bayeux, in an abandoned German gun position.
The advance started at 0430hrs but the first gunfire was brought down in a stonk at 0455hrs on Tilly-Sur-Seulles crossroads. The advance by 1400hrs had reached line Christot-St Pierre approximately 400 yards north of Tilly the opposition was very sticky and this was little further than that achieved at 0800hrs
