The story
At 22nd November, however, we did move-at least as freely as the mud would allow!! Our way lay across country, over tracks that were scarcely discernible and knee-deep in thick, glutinous, treacherous mud. Fortunately, perhaps, for us the enemy had withdrawn and we had only to contend with the weather and terrain. It was quite enough! But somehow we made it and reached the hamlet of BROEK, where we harboured for the night. Location?
