The story
On 9th February, the Gordons and 44 (L.) Brigade passed through for the assault on the SIEGFRIED LINE defences. This was achieved with astonishing ease and in the late afternoon wewere ordered to take over a position just south of NUTTERDEN, a village on the far side of the SIEGFRIED LINE.
