Here is my Grandfather’s discharge paper. Has some additional info on medals, locations ,and dates. Might be helpful. If I find anything else. I will notify you.
Orville did tell me that during the Bulge was the only time until then that he fired his rifle. He said his commander had them grab their carbines and cover behind his bulldozer. Then without seeing the enemy. They all fired into woods. Kept up until ordered to stop. Also said the movie “Red Ball Express” was very accurate showing day to day duties of engineers .
