Van dorp naar dorp, van bunker naar bunker, zo herinnert veteraan Paul Wile (93) zich de bevrijding van Nederland. Vaak weet hij helemaal niet waar hij is. Contact met de lokale bevolking is er nauwelijks, maar de ontmoetingen die wel plaatsvinden, maken veel indruk op hem.
