The story
Destroyer HMS Beverley (Lieutenant Commander R. A. Price) was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-188 (Kapit_nleutnant Siegfried Lüdden) while escorting Atlantic convoy ON-176. Her loss would be officially announced by the Admiralty on 2 May 1943.
