Bristol Blenheim IV (L9214 VE-) on a mission to Sedan on 1940-05-13

On Tuesday, 14 May 1940, (a part of) the aircraft of the 110 squadron (RAF), took off for a mission to Sedan in France from a station (airfield) in or near Wattisham.
One of the crew members was Flying Officer G O M Wright. He departed for his mission at 16:50.
He flew with a Bristol Blenheim (type IV, with serial L9214 and code VE-). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Tuesday, 14 May 1940.

My grandfather, John Fancy was the navigator on this aircraft. He returned to the crash site with my mother some 20 years ago when he was in his 80's. He has passed away now (in 2008 at the age of 95).

Somewhere there is a picture of him...

My grandfather, John Fancy was the navigator on this aircraft. He returned to the crash site with my mother some 20 years ago when he was in his 80's. He has passed away now (in 2008 at the age of 95).

Somewhere there is a picture of him standing with my mother and her older sister with John at the crash site that he located on their visit. The location has never been documented, but it was near a chateau because the Germans were using it as an HQ and picked up the 3 crew members soon after it crashed.

I am going to try to find the picture because in the background there may be clues as to where the crash site was. My mother told me that there were may tall trees nearby and John said that the aircraft hit trees as it came in for its emergency crash landing,
