Handley Page Halifax II (DT679 EQ-Q) on a mission to Berlin on 1943-03-30

On Monday, 29 March 1943, (a part of) the aircraft of the 408 squadron (RCAF), took off for a mission to Berlin in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near Leeming.
One of the crew members was R137373 Flight Sergeant G W Herrington RCAF. He departed for his mission at 21:42.
He flew with a Handley Page Halifax (type II, with serial DT679 and code EQ-Q). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Tuesday, 30 March 1943.

My father flew a Halifax Mark III that was also designated EQ-Q of 408th Squadron, after they had moved their operations to Linton-on-Ouse. He and his crew were shot down on March 31, 1945 on a mission to Hamburg, but all survived and were POWs...

My father flew a Halifax Mark III that was also designated EQ-Q of 408th Squadron, after they had moved their operations to Linton-on-Ouse. He and his crew were shot down on March 31, 1945 on a mission to Hamburg, but all survived and were POWs in Stalag Luft I.

My great uncle was on this mission. Sgt Edwin Arthur Biggs. Wireless operator and air gunner. I have a list of the other crew members if anyone would be interested.
