Avro Lancaster III (LM624 DX-A) on a mission to Gravenhorst on 1944-11-07

On Monday, 06 November 1944, (a part of) the aircraft of the 57 squadron (RAAF), took off for a mission to Gravenhorst in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near East Kirkby.
One of the crew members was Flight Sergeant B H Brown RAAF. He departed for his mission at 16:31.
He flew with a Avro Lancaster (type III, with serial LM624 and code DX-A). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Tuesday, 07 November 1944.

I am glad that Keith clarified that as I have produced an illustration of this aircraft I am about to supply to a grandson of one of the crew I was suddenly concerned that I had made a big error.

Your photograph above is a Lancaster B11 with Bristol Hercules engines rather than Rolls Royce Merlin engines.

Hi, DX-A LM624 is my Great Uncle's aircraft that he flew on that night. I have information from the RAF in regards to this mission and about my Great Uncle.
