On Saturday, 24 June 1944, (a part of) the aircraft of the 61 squadron (RAAF), took off for a mission to Prouville in France from a station (airfield) in or near Skellingthorpe.
One of the crew members was Flight Lieutenant J A Forrest RAAF. He departed for his mission at 22:37.

IAN: This aircraft was recorded as being lost at Bienfey, near Moyenneville, the other side of Abbeville from where this tag is showing. Records say somewhere near a pond know as 'le neuf' according to JA Forrests records
