1 Welsh Guards to rest area Saint-Martin-des-Besaces
The Battalion came to rest in an area just North of Saint-Martin-des-Besaces and the Commanding Officer went forward to an ‘O’ Group, which was well shelled, both General ADAIR and Brigadier JOHNSON having narrow escapes.
