HMS Scylla (98) Day 6
Royal Navy Operation Neptune 1944-06-06 Coast of Normandy HMS Scylla (98) was present at the Normandy landings as Flagship of the Eastern Task Force at the extreme eastern end of the invasion fleet. Key objective the coastal batteries around the Seine estuary. Flagship HMS Scylla, with 9 major units and 13 destroyers.
On 23 June 1944 she was badly damaged by a mine and declared a Constructive Total Loss.
