The story
The crucial moment came as we entered the village of HOLDENSTEDT, three miles short of UELZEN, about an hour before first light. As the tanks rolled in, we saw that this was to be " no ordinary party." A panic of flares and Verey lights rose into the sky, and the burst of fire became more numerous. A motorcycle fleeing in the opposite direction provided good target practice for every vehicle that it was lucky enough to get past.
