With photos of the Reunion of the Band of Brothers and Captain George Klein, 2nd Lieutenant, 2nd Ranger Battalion (George was the platoon leader for Fox Company. The waves were rougher than expected, making an accurate landing nearly impossible. Despite their preparedness, the strength of the enemy coupled with the difficult landing conditions quickly altered the plan they had spent months preparing. Forced to improvise, the Rangers at Pointe Du Hoc heroically rose to the challenge. George rushed to the cliffs and began scaling the 100 feet to the top. Once on top, George continued to battle on. Later that afternoon, George was wounded when he encountered an attack from a German soldier. For two days, George had to wait to be evacuated from the battlefield. He had no radio, and was only able to wrap his wounded leg in a bandage until he was able to receive proper medical attention.).
