Route Cobra - the breakout
Cobra-la Percée (the Breaktout) is starting in Cherbourg and ending in Avranches.
Eight itineraries in chronological sequence clearly signposted “Normandie Terre – Liberté” through whole Normandy. See an example at the beginning of this small video.
It enables the visitor to discover these history-packed places and follow the unfolding of this huge battle in the first 80 days of the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe.

In the commune Néhou you find an exposition of Patton Adress: Mairie 50 390 NEHOU. The exhibition is entirely dedicated to one of the most famous generals of World War II: General George Patton. He was an exceptional person and the founder of the exhibition wanted to contribute to the prestige of this illustrious man has a museum area in Normandy. The route and takes you from his birth in 1885 until the end of the Second World War.
