On 1940-08-07, Pilot unknown name (unknown rank, RAF) with an unknown servicenumber, flew a Hurricane with serial N2456 for this duty: unknown operation. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: Crashed at Debden Essex. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 17. The location for the map is Debden, United Kingdom. Circumstances at the end of this mission for this unknown person: he died, but circumstances of death are unknown. There is no commemoration location known.

The pilot officer who flew N 2456 was W.H. Britton 19 years old he died on the 6th August 1940 when he crashed in Debden Park Essex. Pilot Britton was laid to rest at St Paul’s church Wimbish Essex.
What a waste of a young life as so many.
