Hi,

The aircraft was hit by flack over neederwert. There is a police report of the crash.
The aircraft after being hit veered to avoid the village and crashed in the woods nearby.
The wreckage is still visible today, I have actually been to the crash site. Looking at the wreckage it is clear to see that there was an extensive explosion on impact.
The Dutch resistance were first on the scene and removed the parachutes and some other items. All of the crew were confirmed to have been killed.
The Germans sent what they called 'rats' forced laborers to go in and remove the munitions and remains.
They also posted a guard on a bicycle at the entrance to the forrest.
All of the crew are buried in Eindhoven Woensel general cemetery.
I hope this information helps.
