Lancaster PD215 was coded PO-F it collided with another lancaster and lost 12 feet from one of its mainplanes and struggled back towards home losing height, all crew bailed out at Chalon Sur Marne in France (falais court) and all survived, My father was the Flight Engineer who served a further number of years in the RAF until 1978 37 years in total, and ending his career as an instructer and flight Engineer on the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, sadly he is no longer with us, but I have tracked his service career as best I can, even I ended up doing 30 years service so things may have rubbed off a little.

Hope this info helps in some way
